10 unmistakable signs you’re destined for something bigger in life

Do you get the sense there’s more to life?

Here’s the deal.

Doubters and naysayers may label you a fantasist. Maybe even a time waster.

But the signs are unmistakable.

Deep down you know you’re destined for something bigger in life. You just haven’t gotten there… yet!

Well, I’ve got good news for you.

What you need is staring you right in the face.

So put aside that self-doubt and ignore the critics. Here are 10 signs that prove you were right to believe in yourself all along.

Read on to see how many of these describe you.

1) You aren’t afraid to dream BIG

To you, “good enough” simply doesn’t cut it. You aspire to do great things and take steps to turn those dreams into reality.

Perhaps you yearn to be your own boss, invent something groundbreaking, or discover somewhere unexplored.

Whatever it is (and whatever it takes you), you want to make your mark on this world one way or another.

And that’s because you’re a visionary thinker.

Of course, some may dismiss your ideas as impossible (or wacky), but your unconventional way of attacking problems leaves others in awe.

But to them, I’d say “You do you and I’ll do me.”

At the end of the day, when you’re passionate about something, you can’t help but pour your heart and soul into it.

It’s this pure dedication, tenacity, and entrepreneurial spirit that clearly shows you’re on the path to something remarkable.

2) You seek out autonomy

Working 9-to-5 has never appealed to you all that much. Not to mention, you’re not a huge Dolly Parton fan.

Just the mere thought of being stuck in an office all day, grinding away for someone else, makes you feel restless.

To you, it’s a waste of time. What’s more, it puts a cap on your potential.

Why do you feel this way?

Well, you’re an entrepreneur at heart. Eager to take the helm, be your own hero, and champion it!

And it’s this independent attitude that has helped you perform, regardless of the task.

Ultimately, you have an uncontrollable urge to seek out autonomy wherever possible. It motivates you in ways taking orders can simply never do.

And that’s because…

3) You are a natural-born leader

Do people naturally gravitate towards you? It’s like you have this invisible pull or “unspoken rizz”.

Truth is, you’re a friend magnet and it’s what sets you apart from everyone else.

Take this for example.

You’re at a party and not even trying, but before you know it, there’s a group of people hanging on your every word.

So much so, that they’d go into battle with you (if you asked). Although they’ll probably settle for being your mate.

Sound familiar?

Well, my friend, that’s because people are inherently drawn to greatness. And you? Needless to say, radiate it.

The thing is…

Whether you like it or not, what you have to say resonates with others. What’s more, your innate ability to inspire, guide, and motivate speaks to people on multiple levels.

It’s the charisma effect

Something that makes you a natural-born leader. And to be a good leader, you need to have a plan.

That’s why…

4) You have goals (and stick to them)

When you first heard the phrase, “the early bird catches the worm” you took that advice and ran with it.

In fact, your can-do attitude and unrivaled work ethic prove that hard work pays off.

To put it another way, you value self-concordance.

One way you do this is by setting goals – and sticking to them.

Why’s that important?

Good question.

Science suggests that goal setting is the secret to success.

Not only does it provide focus and direction (enabling you to be highly productive) but goal setting has also been linked to increased confidence, self-belief, motivation, and autonomy.

Most importantly, it helps you keep track of your progress. Something that allows you to be accountable and mindful.

As a result, you’re able to make better, well-informed decisions.

5) You think outside the box

Do you constantly find yourself going against the grain?

I’m talking about questioning the status quo, challenging assumptions, and coming up with solutions no one else has considered.

Well, if you’re constantly bursting with newfangled ideas, it’s a sign that you’re meant for something bigger.

And let’s face it.

Not everything in life fits into a neat little box.

In fact, when it comes to problem-solving, a little forward (and creative) thinking goes a long way, and you have no qualms trusting your gut

Even if it’s far from the norm.

For you, it’s all a calculated risk, one you have a hunch will work out. And if it doesn’t, you’ll learn from it and use that failure to your advantage.

Just imagine if any of the great scientists, artists, inventors, and innovators of yesteryear felt things were simply “fine the way they were”, no progress would be made!

Not to mention, you probably wouldn’t be reading this article on your phone right now.

6) You have a beginner’s mind

Socrates, the ancient Greek philosopher once said: “The only true wisdom is knowing you know nothing.”

This is a sentiment that resonates with you deeply. In fact, you spend any chance you get learning something new to further your personal growth.

In other words, you have a thirst for knowledge and an insatiable curiosity.

And that’s why you like to subscribe to “Shoshin” or a “beginner’s” mind.

What’s that?

Let me explain.

Based on a Zen Buddhist concept, it’s essentially forgetting everything you know (or thought you knew) to see it through a beginner’s eyes – even if you’re an expert.

This allows you to see things objectively and with a fresh perspective. At the same time, it opens you up to new knowledge along the way.

Simply put, you’re not ruled by your ego

Instead, you have an attitude of openness and an eagerness to learn.

You understand that just because you thought you knew something doesn’t make it true.

And by being closed-minded or making assumptions, you’re shutting yourself off to new possibilities, opportunities, or solutions to problems.

It’s almost like viewing the world with a childlike innocence and enthusiasm.

7) You embrace failure

Fear is perfectly normal. It’s your animal instincts kicking in

But the way you handle it?

Well, it demonstrates just how fearless you are – a quality that further proves you’re destined for something bigger in life.

And while others may run from failure, you embrace it. The truth is, you see it as an opportunity for growth, development, and a lesson in mindfulness.

An attitude that has been linked to resilience and increased confidence. It may even spark the next big breakthrough.

Because here’s the thing.

Making mistakes and failing is how we learn. No matter how many books you read or courses you take, there’s always something new to discover.

And you accept that.

That’s why you’ll never let the self-doubt or negative self-talk creep in, even during your darkest times.

8) You keep dodging those curveballs

Let me ask you this…

When life knocks you sideways, do you lay down on the ground feeling sorry for yourself? Or do you get up, dust yourself off, and go another round?

If it’s the latter, that shows true resilience and grit.

And it’s that approach to life that indicates you’re destined for something bigger.

That’s right!

Carrying on, even when things don’t go to plan, is a trait you share with a long list of successful people.

Take Steve Jobs for example.

Do you think the former Apple CEO gave up when he was ousted from the company in 1985? No. He made a huge comeback and, well, I’m sure you know the rest of the story by now.

There’s even a film about it (actually two).

My point is – your growth mindset enables you to keep trying. And your unique ability to turn adversity into inspiration is a sign of your resilience.

Because deep down…

9) You are an eternal optimist

You’re a glass-half-full kind of person, always looking on the bright side of life.

But despite what you’ve been told, being an optimist doesn’t mean you can’t also be a realist

Realistic optimists understand life doesn’t always go to plan. But they don’t let that defeat them.

Oh, no.

Instead, they like to focus on the positives (not the negatives) and are hopeful things will work out in the end.

It’s called having a positive mindset. A life philosophy that has taught you to enjoy the journey, not just the destination.

And those little detours?

Well, sometimes they’re exactly what you needed to get to where you wanted to go all along. You just didn’t realize it at the time.

Something that brings us to the final point of the list…

10) You have a go-getter attitude

Do you constantly feel that your current circumstances are just a pit stop on the way to your true destination?

Perhaps you simply yearn for more. Constantly pushing your boundaries and seeking new challenges as a result.

That’s a sign that your ambition knows no bounds.

And it’s that no-nonsense determination and passion that illustrates you’re destined for bigger things.

Let me put it this way.

You have a go-getter attitude.

At the end of the day, if you want something, you’ll do whatever it takes to get there. It’s your destiny after all.
