Who we are

The Vessel is operated and published by Brown Brothers Media Pte. Ltd., a Singapore company.

Editorial and informational content

The Vessel publishes content about relationships, psychology, wellbeing, spirituality, personal development, and culture. Content, courses, quizzes, and readings are for general educational and personal-development purposes. They are not medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional advice and do not replace qualified care.

We aim to publish accurate, carefully reviewed material, but information can become incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Every article is reviewed and approved by a human before publication. AI tools may assist parts of the editorial workflow, but humans retain publication responsibility.

Permitted use

You may access the services for lawful personal and informational use, share links, and quote limited excerpts where permitted by law with accurate attribution. You must not unlawfully copy or republish substantial portions, scrape or extract content at scale in a way that burdens or circumvents the services, interfere with security or availability, introduce malicious code, impersonate us, or violate another person’s rights.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, original text, design, branding, graphics, databases, and other material are owned by or licensed to Brown Brothers Media Pte. Ltd. and protected by applicable law. Third-party photographs, video, quotations, data, research, and other material remain the property of their respective owners. No licence is granted except the limited permission in these Terms and rights provided by law.

Copyright complaints

If you believe material on the services infringes copyright, follow our Copyright Complaints procedure or contact info@thevessel.io.

Third-party material and links

The services may link to or embed third-party websites, research, videos, social posts, advertisements, products, and services. Those parties control their material and practices. A link, citation, or embed does not necessarily mean endorsement.

Advertising and commercial relationships

The publication may be funded through advertising, sponsorships, affiliate links, products, subscriptions, or services. We identify paid or affiliate relationships where required. Advertisers and commercial partners do not control editorial conclusions.

Newsletters, messages, and submissions

If you subscribe to a newsletter or enable a notification, you authorise us and our providers to send the communications requested. You may unsubscribe using the link in an email or change browser settings.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to send corrections, feedback, story ideas, press releases, photographs, documents, or other material. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, unsolicited editorial submissions are not confidential. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to review, store, edit, and use a submission for the purpose for which it was provided. You retain ownership.

Accounts and user content

Where account, comment, community, course, or submission features are available, you must provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and remain responsible for activity under your account. You must not submit unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, malicious, or privacy-invasive material.

You retain ownership of material you submit. You grant The Vessel a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format, moderate, and display it as reasonably necessary to operate the feature and for the purpose for which it was submitted. We may restrict or remove material or accounts where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect people or systems, or comply with law.

Purchases, subscriptions, courses, and digital products

These are general website Terms only. They do not amend, replace, narrow, or override any price, renewal, cancellation, access, refund, guarantee, or other purchase-specific terms presented at checkout or otherwise accepted for a transaction. Those purchase-specific terms govern that transaction and prevail if inconsistent with these general Terms. Nothing here creates a refund restriction not contained in the purchase-specific terms or applicable law.

Payment providers process payment details under their own terms and privacy policies.

Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, restrict, or discontinue parts of the services. We do not promise that every page, feature, link, or archive item will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. Nothing excludes a warranty, guarantee, condition, or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brown Brothers Media Pte. Ltd. and its directors, employees, contributors, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss arising from the services. These Terms do not limit liability that applicable law does not allow us to limit.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Brown Brothers Media Pte. Ltd. against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the services, material breach of these Terms, or material you submit that violates another person’s rights. This does not apply where prohibited by consumer law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Mandatory consumer protections and rights to bring a claim elsewhere are not excluded. Subject to those rights, the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms or the services.

General provisions

If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and policies incorporated by reference form the agreement concerning the services, except that specific purchase or service terms may also apply.
