RUDÁ IANDÊ
Rudá Iandê is a Brazilian-born shaman and author with over 30 years of experience guiding people through deep inner transformation. With knowledge rooted in indigenous wisdom and a modern understanding of the human psyche, Rudá has helped thousands of individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures across the globe reconnect with their true essence and live more aligned, meaningful lives.
Born in Belo Horizonte, Rudá began his unconventional journey into self-discovery at the age of 17, traveling through Brazil with a group of nomads. He immersed himself in diverse spiritual disciplines, including tarot, numerology, herbalism, and meditation. His life took a pivotal turn in 1992 during the Rio Earth Summit (Eco-92), where he encountered ayahuasca—a sacred Amazonian brew that would become a central ally in his personal and professional evolution.
What You’ll Learn with Rudá Iandê
Rudá went on to live with indigenous tribes in the Amazon, including the Katukinas and Yawanawás, and exchanged knowledge with shamans and healers from across Latin America and beyond—learning from the Quechua in Peru, the brujos of Chile, the Huicholes in Mexico, and traditional healers in Brazil’s Cerrado and Northeast regions. In 2006, he also founded the Centro de Estudos Ancestrais Raízes de Dan, a 13,000m² retreat space nestled in the Atlantic rainforest near Curitiba.
Rudá’s approach to shamanism is contemporary, integrating ancient practices with modern-day needs. His work has attracted global attention, including from performance artist Marina Abramović, who described her encounters with Rudá as profoundly healing and featured them both in her book “Walk Through Walls: A Memoir” and documentary “The Space In Between: Marina Abramović and Brazil”.
“Rudá is all about the exorcism of pain.” – Marina Abramović
In addition to his in-person work, Rudá has cultivated a strong digital presence, writing articles for international platforms such as the Huffington Post, and offering online programs via The Vessel, including the acclaimed courses Out of the Box, Ybytu, and Self Love Journey. His teachings challenge mainstream ideas around success and self-improvement, inviting people to embrace the full spectrum of their humanity—light and shadow alike.
In 2025, Rudá releases his much-anticipated book, Laughing in the Face of Chaos, which reflects on his decades-long journey through shamanism, emotional healing, and the mythologies shaping modern society. The book offers powerful insights and practices for navigating today’s world with clarity, grace, and humor.
At the heart of his work lies a commitment to helping individuals break free from social conditioning, develop a healthy relationship with their true selves, and discover their unique path to fulfillment. He believes that true success is not about status or conformity but about living the dream of one’s soul with integrity and joy.
Whether through ritual, conversation, breathwork, or storytelling, Rudá continues to be a guiding force for those seeking transformation from within—anchored in ancestral wisdom and deeply attuned to the challenges of modern life.
