The Power Of Your Breath

BOOSTING YOUR PRACTICE

Exercise I – Breath Flow

This is the perfect exercise whenever you need to calm down and align your emotions. It will help you to release stress and anxiety, bringing you back to a place of serenity where you can see things with clarity and make better choices. Three minutes of this meditation can save you a lot of trouble, so don’t hesitate using this technique whenever you feel under emotional pressure.

You can always invite certain emotions to this practice. Imagine you’re feeling angry, anxious, or sad. You can invite anger, fear, anxiety or sadness to your practice. Connect with the emotion, shut off your mind, and breath. If you’ve invited anger, forget of yourself and become the anger, experience the anger as energy. You can become this energy and while you breathe, you’ll integrate and align this. You can do this same process with whichever emotion you feel.

The same way you can invite uncomfortable emotions, you can also call your most positive feelings to your breath practice. You can choose love, excitement or joy and bring it to the center of your practice. Each of your feelings is welcome. But don’t try to choose from your mind. Always stick to what is most present at the moment of your practice and use this as your starting point.

Exercise II – The Sphere

Instead of changing the colors of your sphere of light, you can also choose one single color and stick to it during the whole exercise. Each color has a different effect over the psyche and the body:

Black – Brown. Grounding and solidity. Brings the consciousness to the body and unleashes the energy to turn ideas and dreams into reality.

Red – Vitality. The red connects with the raw force of fire and instinct. It’s excellent to bring vitality and to activate the sexual energy. It also awakes our basic aggressiveness, what makes it a powerful color to be used in moments when we need this power to overcome certain challenges, but must be used with caution, since it can make us lose control over our reactions.

Yellow – Creativity. This color activates the best of our mind, bringing clarity and empowering our memory and focus capacity. It’s excellent for boosting our creativity. The yellow can also help you to better organize your ideas and improve your communication.

Green – Health. Green is an excellent color for improving your health. It can empower your heart and boost your immune system.

Blue – Inner Peace. Blue is the primary color associated to consciousness. It can help you developing your capacity for contemplation. If you have problems to sleep, practice this breath exercise using blue at night. You can also use it whenever you need to calm down and relax.

Purple – Transcendence. This color boosts our spirituality and sense of purpose. This color is also excellent for cleaning our aura. You can use color in your sphere to help you overcoming attachments and letting past situations go.

Finally, you can play with one more element in your sphere, apart of the color. You can play  with the state of the energy. Try making spheres of fire, water, gas and solid. Each element has a completely different effect over your energy. Better than describing them, I’ll let you the chance of experience them and making your own conclusions, so you build knowledge from your direct experience.

Exercise III – The Core

Often, when we feel an emotion, we lose our center and are completely taken by our feelings. This exercise is a very powerful one. It can help you developing the capacity of being at your center, in a place of consciousness, clarity and flow where you can channel your emotional energy according to your purpose.

Exercise IV – Squeeze

Playing with your imagination while you breath is powerful. Trust the magic child inside of you. Use this exercise to feed this magic child. We can accomplish a lot through playfulness, and this is the state of mind to bring to this practice. You can bring all the knowledge of the exercise two (the sphere) and use it here. Have fun!

Breath Meditation I – Life in your Lungs

The purpose of this meditation is to bring awareness about your place in the chain of life. It will ground you in the flow of life that is happening in your lungs. It will also empower your health, vitality and emotional balance.

Ybytu Breath Meditations employ modern techniques to enhance your brain’s capacity and bring you on a journey.

Sound is the air you breathe by your ears, and that’s why we’ve dedicated special attention to creating these meditation tracks using the most cutting edge resources at our disposal: multi-layering sound design, harmonic frequencies, binaural beats, isochronic tones and more.

To take advantage of all these audio resources, make sure to listen with headphones. If you download the audio file, please be aware that some players (like YouTube Music, Spotify and Soundcloud) automatically compact the audio. The issue with compaction is that the sound waves that are meant to tenderly caress your brain are transformed into squared bits which may sound the same to your ears but will have a much more aggressive effect on your brain. With this in mind, make sure to keep the audio file in its original (.wav) format and use an appropriate player (such as iTunes, VLC or Groove). Or just listen to it straight from our platform.
