Women who are always composed and poised in stressful situations usually display these 7 specific behaviors

Ever been amazed by those women who seem to have it all under control, no matter what’s going on around them?

The ones who glide through life’s challenges with grace and ease, while the rest of us are just trying not to lose our cool?

We’re often left wondering, “How do they do it?”

Well, I’ve dug deep into this topic and I’ve uncovered something fascinating. These women, who always seem so composed and poised in stressful situations, aren’t just born that way.

Nope. They usually display 7 specific behaviors.

These behaviors aren’t just about staying calm under pressure. They’re about assertiveness, emotional intelligence, and maintaining balance in every aspect of life.

Intrigued?

Join me as we explore these behaviors and learn how adopting them can help us become more composed and poised in our own stressful situations. Because that woman who seems to have it all under control? She could be you.

1) They practice mindfulness

You’ve probably heard the term “mindfulness” thrown around a lot lately. And for good reason.

Mindfulness, or the practice of being fully present and engaged in the moment, is a powerful tool for managing stress.

These women, the ones we admire for their poise and composure, don’t just preach mindfulness. They practice it.

Whether it’s through meditation, yoga, or just taking a few moments to breathe and center themselves amidst the chaos, these women make a conscious effort to stay grounded in the present.

By focusing on what’s happening right now, they’re able to respond rather than react to stressful situations.

And this, my friends, is a game-changer.

2) They maintain a positive mindset

Now, I know what you’re thinking.

“Maintain a positive mindset? Easier said than done.”

And you’re not wrong. But let me share something with you.

A few years back, I found myself in an incredibly stressful situation. My job was on the line, and it felt like everything was falling apart.

One day, a friend of mine noticed my state and said something that completely shifted my perspective. She said, “Remember, not all storms come to disrupt your life, some come to clear your path.”

Her words hit me hard.

From that moment on, I made a conscious effort to maintain a positive mindset.

I started looking for the silver lining in every cloud, no matter how dark it was.

And guess what?

Things started to turn around.

Just like those women we admire, I found that maintaining a positive mindset helped me stay composed and poised, even in the face of stress.

So, while it’s not always easy, it’s definitely worth a shot.

3) They let go of what they can’t control

Here’s a little secret.

A big part of being composed and poised in stressful situations is knowing when to let go.

I mean, how often do we stress ourselves out over things we have absolutely no control over? I know I’ve been guilty of it more times than I can count.

But those women we look up to, they’ve mastered the art of letting go. They understand that life is unpredictable and full of variables beyond our control.

Does this mean they don’t care or don’t try? Absolutely not. They just recognize the difference between what they can change and what they must accept.

And when they encounter things they can’t control, they don’t waste their energy trying to force a square peg into a round hole. They simply let it be.

It’s a liberating practice. But it takes courage and wisdom to accept that not everything is within our control.

It’s not about being passive, it’s about being wise. And that’s something we could all stand to learn from.

4) They practice self-care

In our hustle and bustle to keep up with life’s demands, we often forget to take care of ourselves. We’re so busy taking care of everyone and everything else that we put ourselves last.

But those women who seem unflappable in the face of stress? They prioritize self-care. They understand that they can’t pour from an empty cup. So, they take time out for themselves, to recharge and rejuvenate.

This might be a quiet walk in the park, a relaxing bath, a good book, or even just a few minutes of deep breathing. The point is, they do something that nurtures them and brings them joy.

And this isn’t selfish. It’s necessary! It’s the fuel that keeps their inner light shining bright, even during stormy weather.

So, if you want to stay composed and poised under pressure, start by taking care of you. Because you can’t help others if you’re running on empty.

5) They embrace failure

Did you know that J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, was rejected by 12 publishers before she hit success?

She could’ve given up after the first, second, or even the tenth rejection. But she didn’t.

And those poised women we admire so much? They’re a lot like Rowling.

They understand that failure is not the opposite of success; it’s part of the journey towards it. Instead of letting failure break them, they let it shape them.

When they stumble, they don’t wallow in self-pity or give up. They dust themselves off, learn from their mistakes, and move forward with even more determination.

Because at the end of the day, they know that the only real failure is not trying at all.

So next time you find yourself faced with a setback, remember this: every failure is a step closer to success. And that’s a fact worth celebrating.

6) They show compassion to others

Ever noticed how some people just have this aura of calm about them? Like they’re a safe harbor in a storm?

Those women we admire – the ones who always seem composed and poised, no matter what’s happening around them – they often have this aura. And it’s not just because they’re calm themselves. It’s because they show compassion to others.

When someone is struggling, they don’t judge or criticize. They listen. They empathize. They offer comfort and support.

They understand that we’re all human, and we’re all doing the best we can with what we’ve got. They know that when you lift others up, you lift yourself up too. And that’s a beautiful thing!

7) They embrace their imperfections

Here’s the most important thing you should know.

Those composed and poised women? They’re not perfect. And they don’t try to be.

They know that their worth doesn’t lie in being flawless. It lies in being authentically, unapologetically themselves.

They embrace their imperfections, their quirks, their uniqueness. They understand that it’s these things that make them who they are.

So, if you want to be more composed and poised in stressful situations, start by embracing your imperfections. Because being real beats being perfect, every single time.

Embracing the journey

So, you’ve taken a glimpse into the behaviors of women who navigate stressful situations with grace and composure. You might have found these behaviors inspiring, or perhaps they’ve sparked some self-reflection.

Remember, change doesn’t happen overnight.

But by being conscious of these behaviors and gradually integrating them into your life, you can begin to cultivate a greater sense of poise and calm, even amidst life’s storms.

It’s all about balance and authenticity. It’s about embracing your unique journey, complete with all its triumphs and challenges. It’s about understanding that it’s okay to stumble as long as you get back up.

You’re not alone on this journey. We’re all works in progress, learning and growing each day!

So, take a deep breath. Show yourself compassion. It’s a journey, not a race.

And as you navigate your path, don’t forget to treat each day as an opportunity to learn, grow and become a little more like the woman you aspire to be.

Because the most authentic version of you? She’s composed, she’s poised, and she’s within your reach.
